April Lessons/Ideas

Earth Day Bulletin Board
Lorax Bulletin Board With my fifth through sixth grade students we read the Lorax and then responded to the writing prompt "Unless"...we also discussed recycling and how we can save our environment. We differentiated the instruction by having some students write paragraphs, while others wrote sentences, and some students we copied the sentences for them after they told us what how they would save teh environment.

This activity was used for fourth through sixth grade students. My sixth graders read Dr. Suess books to the Kindergarteners as well. You are never too old to celebrate Dr. Suess Day!
